Abled Hawai'i Artists- Hawai'i Island 5th Annual Art Festival at PRINCE KUHIO PLAZA

July 21, 2012 from 10am to 3pm
Abled Hawaii Artists (AHA) is a volunteer- based organization aimed at raising community awareness of disability issues in Hawaii. AHA organizes an annual event that celebrates the American’s with Disabilities Act in Hawai’i  and promotes inclusion through a festival that focuses on individual abilities through arts. AHA art festival also works to build community through the creation of chalk art murals symbolizing the great things that can be achieved if we work together.  Our theme this year is “ART: Sustainable Expressions”. It is befitting, during this time of world crisis that we visualize peace and healing as sustainable expressions in the arts.  AHA- Big Island Planning Committee is comprised of persons with and without disabilities who value the importance of community inclusion for all persons with disabilities. Be of service to others and you become part of the change you want the world to be…http://www.cds.hawaii.edu/aha/…See More
